It's been discussed above. If it's top 10 it goes to the Kings. Otherwise it's a 2nd rounder that goes to some other team other than the Bulls. Orlando, I think. So the Bulls are kinda fucked.Does Sacramento have their own pick this year? If they go tankapalooza and get someone really good, that's part of this trade too right? The ability to tank without Cousins should be easier.
Thanks. So in a way by trading Cousins, they get another top 10 pick + whatever they get from NOIt's been discussed above. If it's top 10 it goes to the Kings. Otherwise it's a 2nd rounder that goes to some other team other than the Bulls. Orlando, I think. So the Bulls are kinda fucked.
In addition to this if they keep their own pick. Ie it's top ten. Then the sixers have swap rights. Which means super tanking isn't even likely rewarded and could really suck. It's been discussed above. If it's top 10 it goes to the Kings. It's all coming up Kings:
Truly. It's not easy to revise a D paper and get an F, but Vlade has done it.That is an awful awful trade by SAC.
That must be the read -- regardless of Ainge's recognition that the team needs rebounding, rim protection and bigs who can shoot the 3, the Boston Celtics aren't interested in the only big on the market who can do all these things. So bottom line, the Celts didn't want him
Must be. I suppose we should be waiting for the casualty report from the duel at dawn on Bourbon Street between Cousins and Davis. This cat must be the absolute worst to deal with.
So I guess next year they can trade him in a huge salary dump? Like sauce?Kings!:

They drafted Stauskas, then a year later packaged him with a likely lottery-pick, in order to clear the cap room necessary to sign Wes Matthews, and then failed to sign Wes Matthews. How fucking stupid is this team?
Someone said if Sacramento finishes in the bottom 6, that 2nd round pick goes to Orlando and Chicago gets nothing. Not quite.
If SAC ends up with a top 10 pick and pick is worse than PHI's pick, SAC keeps its pick
If SAC ends up with a top 10 pick and pick is better than PHI's pick, PHI and SAC swap picks
If SAC ends up with a pick below 10, the pick goes to CHI
CHI gets SAC's 2nd round pick if SAC ends up with a top 10 pick.

They meant last 5 picks of the 2nd (55-60), if it's there it goes to ORL who they owe a top 55 protected pick that expires if not conveyed, if not it goes to Chicago.Someone said if Sacramento finishes in the bottom 6, that 2nd round pick goes to Orlando and Chicago gets nothing.
I'm almost done with anger. Bargaining coming soon...Don't get mad. It should give you hope. I see a big time front office job in your future
George Karl is available and itching to get back inPels will need a new coach. Gentry can't handle him.
Huh? They view Hield as a "top 5 pick this year". They are also getting a late lottery pick at best. And their view of Hield, is probably more about trying to save some face then actually thinking he is a top 5 pick - especially considering he was the # 6 pick in a weaker draft and hasn't proven himself to really be anything more than the # 6 pick. With it becoming clearer how deeply they love Buddy, the equivalent Celtics package is at least two and maybe all three Nets assets plus salary fodder.
It doesn't matter, the Celtics have more to offer so the ask is inevitably higher. Jaylen + BK17 (not protectable), and if Buddy was simply their target then who knows what else.Huh? The equivalent is nowhere near what you stated. Would anyome trade the BRK pick for a Hield and # 14 pick
Sure, but they just got a top 15-20 player in the league for nothing and one of the teams ahead of them in the playoff race just traded them that top 20 player for nothing. It could be a top 10 pick, but just barely, and you don't even have the upside of a lucky bounce since it's protected.FWIW, we are all assuming it is late lottery. It is top 3 protected though. NO is 2 1/2 games out of the playoffs and 2 1/2 games away from being the 4th worst team in the NBA.
Nobody is catching the Nets, they have half the wins of the next closest team and an 8.5 game lead. Also I don't know how NO could even tank.Would be funny if NO missed the playoffs, got a lucky bounce of the balls and a top 3 pick. It'd almost be a smart idea to intentionally tank if they thought the Nets could pass them. Cousins/Davis isn't winning anything this year, but add a top 3 pick to the core?
Because nobody in the organization knew about the stretch provision. They drafted Stauskas, then a year later packaged him with a likely lottery-pick, in order to clear the cap room necessary to sign Wes Matthews, and then failed to sign Wes Matthews.

This trade is very weird news to wake up to. This quote makes the most sense, but still: he's a rental through 2017-2018 right? That's not a bad rental to have, especially figuring the right team will have a leg up on resigning him. I wonder if part of this is Sacramento overvalued Hield and New Orleans assets and undervalued whatever Boston/others would've offered? Though sounds like Boston wasn't even in the conversation. I wonder too if the fact that the Celtics have been on a run disinclined them from bidding. If they were 4-6 over their last ten games would they have been more apt to roll the dice? Or is it a chemistry thing? I'm curious what Brad thinks of Cousins, and whether he might have flexed a little muscle (he's got to have a little by now) and said, "Danny, think twice." Seems weird that a guy so talented could have been traded essentially for a bag of balls. That may be why teams aren't trading for him. He knew all along he wasn't getting the max so he can pretty much pick his choice of teams when he's a FA. Anyone trading for him is getting a rental.
Ainge has said recently that he's not interested in swapping assets for rentals or bandaids. Without the DPE available, and therefore a financial advantage in retaining Cousins, Ainge might have considered 110 guaranteed games of Boogie an insufficient return in exchange for eight controlled rookie scale seasons of two high lottery picks.Woke up to this..Ainge couldn't have matched or exceeded this? Feel this is a year to GFIN in general, but at the price Boogie left for I have a hard time believing that they had no interest. Deal moved fast. Hope that PG or Butler is in play to bypass this chance.
