I had no idea Bryant was that fast
He is a plus baserunner. It was because of that and not Davis' throw that really allowed him to score on that tag earlier.

Like I said, in terms of tools, its Trout, him and Betts and maybe Harper. The other guys are the next level down.

Next year will be interesting to see if Harper was injured or a one year wonder.

It's going to be really awesome when the Cubs blow this.
This...Until this one is actually over, I wouldn't be counting any chickens. Chapman could very well come in, and throw 20 straight pitches to the backstop. Every now and again, the wild thing comes out.

Agree with the decision to leave Hendricks in.

That said, Cleveland needed the Cubs bats to sleep for one more game. They didn't.

This win for the city of Chicago tonight will be merely cold comfort as the Bulls are going down to the Celtics in a key early November regular season tilt.

I like keeping Hendricks in, but I'm not sure I understand warming Lester for a 2nd time if you weren't going to bring him in yet (and you don't want to bring him in mid inning)

Both Kluber and Miller melting down was not expected. Baseball.
Kluber is on his second straight start on short rest and Miller has been ridden hard all month. Not really a shock that they would eventually falter.

Lester is coming in for sure, it's just a matter of when

Yea no nothing indicated Miller would give up runs. He was rested. Tito fucked that up but it probably goes unnoticed now.
Well, unless his coaches gave him an indication. Or Miller himself. Don't forget that Miller before he playoffs was mostly a one inning guy. That he's been able to pitch multiple innings all playoffs has been amazing but it has to take a toll. And Tito probably saw it coming in some way – thus the slow hooks once they were up 3-1.

And...that pitch to Bryant was strike 3.

I'm not so sure now. It was his throw day but he warmed up for 2 straight innings and he's still throwing. Does he have anything left?

Jeez how many pitches has Lester thrown in the pen? Seems like he's been constantly up for a few innings now

Hendricks has to be like, "Are you fucking kidding me?" I led the league in ERA and just got squeezed like Charmin and now you're pulling me?
