Playoff Predictions cuz why not. Damn you, Bruins.

WSH/PHI- Caps in 6. I think this will be a fun series, but I don't think the Flyers have the depth to overcome Washington.

PIT/NYR- Pittsburgh in 5. The Rangers are lousy to begin with. Add in a banged up blue line and I think it's a quick exit. Lundqvist standing on his head is their only hope of competing.

FLA/NYI- Panthers in 7. This is a coin flip. Neither team has great underlying numbers. This could go either way. I went with FLA basically because Luongo is the best goalie in the series.

DET/TB- Tampa in 7. I'm not sure who the hell is actually healthy for the Bolts these days, but they should still get by Detroit.

PIT/WSH- Pittsburgh in 7. Should be getting Malkin back by then.

TB/NYI- Bolts in 6.

PIT/TB- Pittsburgh in 7. Shame no Stamkos for this series.

West:

DAL/MIN- Dallas in 5. Minny too banged up to hang with the Stars.

CHI/STL- Chicago in 7. See ya, Hitch.

ANA/NSH- Ducks in 6. High end guys push Ducks over the hump.

LA/SJ- Kings in 7. LA has the looks of 2012 and 2014 again. Only question is Quick.

DAL/CHI- Hawks in 6. Stars are close, but not quite there yet. Hawks back end and G are the difference. Fun as hell series.

LA/ANA- Kings in 7. I don't trust Boudreau teams.

CHI/LA- Kings in 7. Back and forth we go with these 2.

Cup- Penguins over Kings in 6.

WSH/PHI- Caps in 5. The Caps should roll through Philly.

PIT/NYR- Rangers in 6. I don't trust the Pittsburgh defense and goaltending, and at nut-cutting time I still do not buy in on the Pens.

FLA/NYI- Panthers in 7. This is a coin flip, as cshea notes, but I think Florida's superior defense and goaltending win them the series.

DET/TB- Tampa in 7. Should be an interesting series. The Wings are still fairly underwhelming, and the Bruins should be in this spot. I hate everything.

NYR/WSH- Caps in 6. Caps should win the East.

TB/FLA- Bolts in 6. Coin toss here

WAS/TB- Caps in 5. Washington will roll through the Bolts.

West:

DAL/MIN- Dallas in 4. Minny too banged up to hang with the Stars.

CHI/STL- Chicago in 6. The Hawks are too good.

ANA/NSH- Ducks in 6. Don't think Nashville has enough to hang with the Ducks.

LA/SJ- Kings in 6. LA has the looks of 2012 and 2014 again, as cshea notes. Scary team to face.

DAL/CHI- Hawks in 6. Hawks have too much experience and are much better than Dallas defensively.

LA/ANA- Kings in 7. Kings should win, but this series will be an epic bloodbath.

Lundqvist stayed in the game to end the first, gave up a goal, and has now been replaced by Antti Raanta to start the 2nd.

DET/TB game is 2-2 in the 3rd. Very entertaining.

Lightning also dominating since that reviewed goal. Been about 3 minutes since the Wings crossed the red line. Howard just made an absurd post-to-post save to keep the Wings in it.

Double minor and an interference all at once and the pens come out even with one goal apiece. That's a pretty big 4 minutes of hockey for them.

Love Simmonds - he needs to be on the ice for this squad but I understand why he went after Wilson.

Wilson strikes me as a guy who was told he is the new Lucic but doesn't have the requisite skill, so he just makes borderline hits to have an impact (not unlike Rinaldo).

Looked like mason got snowed right as the shot was being taken. That sucks.

Good thing Simmonds fought to set the tone for the rest of the series though. Flyers didn't need that power play or him on the ice at all.
